Home Mountain

Being brought up in NZ, my Dad would take us up to the mountains to ski. This eventually led me to change to snowboarding in 1996 at the age of 18. From the day I switched to the board I was hooked. What followed was heaps of fun, photo shoots (first ever being with Harro back in 97), competitions, travel, parties, sponsors, snow friends, music, the list goes on!

Then 2 years ago I purchased a DSLR Camera, more for on taking on roadies. This turned to photo shoots with crew snowboarding in Canterbury and a few published photos in different magazines. I had always taken interest in the World Heli Challenge over the years when living in Wanaka so when I meet up with an old mate last winter after many years, he suggested I take note of the Canon Shootout. Then this year it all just fell in to place. Right place, not the best timing, but hey, who would ever let an opportunity like this pass? Definitely not ME. From here the journey gets better, build up on skills and work towards covering and participating in more sports and event photography. Got the Bug!
