Music and the World Heli Challenge
The World Heli Challenge has always been synonymous with delivering great parties and entertainment throughout the two week gatherings each year. In the past the Celibate Rifles, Grinspoon, Spiderbait, King Kapisi and Matt Reardon have all been involved in the event delivering great beats and vibe to the event and media outputs.
In 2010 DJ Cross rocked the house, coming all the way down from Anchorage, Alaska to headline the two week festival. Jesse’s music also featured on the 2010 WHC TV show and webclips shared globally.

Israel Cannan is an extremely talent singer/song writer/musician. His album “Walk” is available on iTunes and is his second full length album release. It’s a culmination of indie folk sounding melody’s and tales, song of life, death and everything in between. Beautiful haunting melodies so please go and have a listen.
He’s spent the past few years traveling seeking meaning. His music reflects on what he has seen and stories that beg to be told and he believes everyone and everything has a journey and his music is just a little piece of his – and a reflection of us all.

Thomas Oliver has been quietly taking New Zealand by storm with his folky vibe and is flat out incredible to hear on the lap slide guitar. The World Heli Challenge was stoked to have him join the crew in 2013 for a private gig and also some great tunes on the deck up at Treble Cone. Check out his stuff and his band if you can.
